Rob BonGiovanni (Producer and Musical Director)
With over forty years of professional playing experience, Rob has run the musician’s gamut, starting in New Jersey as a teenager on the Ted Mack TV Amateur Hour to include a season’s keyboard chair in the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra.
He moved on to join a “set group” of extremely talented musicians, where he began writing, arranging and composing. Drawing on their weekday careers in finance, they became “The Sound Investment”, headlining on weekends at New York and New Jersey night clubs, jazz clubs, concerts and recording sessions, staying together for over 27 years...unheard of in the music industry.
Pam Wineapple (featured vocalist)
Pam appeared in featured roles on Broadway in Promises, Promises and Applause at the Schubert and Palace Theaters. Prior to Broadway she starred in productions of Funny Girl, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Sweet Charity, Flower Drum Song and I Do, I Do in Chicago and Denver theaters. She also headlined in clubs, did club dates and fund raisers in New York, Westhampton, Palm Beach and Palm Springs.
She starred on CBS in “The Sandy Duncan Show” and appeared on multiple TV musical specials with Carl Reiner, David Frost and Peter Ustinov. She’s been the melodious voice on many national television commercials and continues to do voice over spots.
Billy Williams (Percussion)
A native of Virginia Beach, Billy began playing drums at the age of 10 at the Brotherly Love Church in Christ in Norfolk, VA. Now 28 and a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Billy has performed professionally with master musicians, including High Note recording artist Larry Willis.
Most of his gigs highlight his beloved jazz. His talents have made him a sought-after drummer on concert stages around the world. He has performed for General Colin Powell, Robert Redford, and the Sheiks of Dubai. Recent gigs have included Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Viillage Vanguard, Vail Jazz Party and tours with the Marsalis brothers.
Billy is the "drummer's drummer par excellence” whose style pays homage to jazz iconic drummer Max Roach. Billy’s drumming skills represent the essence of timing, creativity and improvisation.
Dave Kreiselman (Tenor, Alto, Soprano Sax, Clarinet)
Dave’s music experience is both extensive and impressive. From Long Island, New York he has played every conceivable gig there is, from club dates, “Top 40” bands to Big Jazz Bands. After a 20 year musical career in the US Army Band, he served as Clarinet Instructor, Armed Forces School of Music, Little Creek, Virginia.
Dave has literally mastered the reed instruments and performs with his own “Arsenal” - Tenor, Alto & Soprano sax and clarinet. He is the Asst. Director of “All City” Jazz Ensemble in the Norfolk Public School System.
For the past 15 years, Dave has been the Education Representative for Music and Arts and Services in the South Eastern Virginia and North Eastern North Carolina School systems. Now in North Carolina, he plays with the popular “Slapnation Band” and recently performed with the legendary “Temptations”.
If there ever was a “jazz man”- Dave is it! You will thoroughly enjoy his performance tonight.
DENNIS ALLARD (PERCUSSION)
Dennis performs with and is the driving force behind the Virginia Symphony 17-piece Jazz Big Band. He also performs with other smaller ensembles encompassing literally all styles of music.
He has travelled the world representing the United States, and has performed with many notable celebrities, such as Bob Hope, Bernadette Peters, Gabe Kaplan and many others. He has proudly performed for six sitting Presidents.
Dennis has enjoyed an illustrious career in the Navy Music Program, excelling as a singing percussionist, and later as a bandleader. Please welcome him tonight as he makes his first appearance with The Sound Investment.
